Hi Resilience Folk!
In my own journey, things are going well with supplements and relatively good with exercise, but it's been difficult to find time (make time) to meditate. I recently downloaded some guided meditations and hope I can use those to help. I did one yesterday and it was really great! And only took about 8 minutes (it's the Meditations for Busy People). What are other people's experiences? Do you intend to go to the aftercare group this month? I know that the aftercare group is top on my priority list. Please post/comment if you are interested in staying connected. I want to keep this going!

A place for people in the Summer 2012 Resilience Training at the Penny George Institute to stay in touch, offer each other support on our journeys, and (hopefully) set up occasional meetings for coffee and conversation.

TED Talks by Brene Brown
The TED Talks by Brene Brown came up once or twice in our group. I finally watched them and they are both fantastic! I'd read one of Brown's books, but hearing her speak, I think, is even more powerful. Here are the links to the two talks.

I really missed having class this week, but am looking forward to the aftercare session in September.
How's everyone doing? I've been doing well on taking my supplements and getting some exercise in, including some strength training. But my meditation practice has dropped off! I'm going to meditate tonight for sure. However, I have noticed that I'm able to let things that bother me go more quickly than I used to--stopping the storyline. So that feels positive.

I sent an invitation to all of you to be "authors" on the blog, which will allow you to post on the blog, rather than just reading or commenting on other posts. The invitation should give you instructions on how to proceed, but let me know if you run into any problems. I believe you will need a gmail account in order to do this, and if you don't have one it's very easy to set one up.
I thought our last session yesterday was very good and very positive. Although I have some sadness that the class is over, I'm looking forward to staying connected through the blog and through the aftercare meetings each month. I am grateful that we have had the opportunity to create this community of support! Sharon
